the practice

Ullmayer Sylvester Architects are a design-led and crafts-based practice incorporated in 2005 following our participation in the collaborative custombuild housing project 'In- Between' in London, which -amongst others- won an RIBA award and the AJ first Building Award.
As a practice we engage in domestic, custombuild but also urban and civic context to make high quality, beautiful projects and environments. We work closely with our clients and with our contractors through every step of the project. The stuff of life makes us hum. We question and re-invent typologies with a sense of optimism.

The process

We think it is essential to work closely with our clients and to listen to what our clients say. Our clients are instrumental in making an excellent project and we want to fulfill and exceed their expectations. To do so we communicate closely and lead them through every step of the process. We believe that every stage has a creative dimension and is an opportunity to make the project better!
